Here is a list of our Frequently Asked Questions:
Do any cabins at Petosega come with sheets, blankets, or dishes?
No, guests should plan to bring bedding, and dishware as needed.
Are dogs allowed in the campground or in cabins?
Per Park Ordinance 09-1 Section 5-1, Pets must be leashed and under the immediate control of their owner. Pets shall be prohibited inside buildings and on the beaches.
How long until my security deposit is refunded and how?
Security deposits are refunded via check or directly back to your credit card on file, usually within 30 days after checking out.
How far is the bathhouse from my campsite?
It depends on what site you are staying at, but most sites can reach the bathhouse in less than a 3-5 minute walk.
Can we rent boats from your facility?
No, we don’t have boats to rent. You might consider reaching out to a local marina instead.
Can we bring a boat?
Yes, however when not in the water, we ask boats to be parked in the overflow parking lot by the maintenance hangar.
Can we tie our boat up to the fishing dock overnight?
No, the aluminum fishing dock is not meant to be tied off. You can unload gear from the dock, but cannot be tied up to the dock for an extended period.
Can we anchor our boat offshore?
Yes, please anchor offshore, away from the swimming area.
Does Camp Petosega have wifi for guests to use?
Yes, WiFi is available near the Main office.
What campsites are paved, and which are gravel?
The only paved sites are the ADA sites, and the full hook-up sites. All other sites are gravel. Paved sites are # 38, 47, 62, 67, 68, 71, 74, 77, 78, 82, 86, 87, 88, 89 and 90.
When are check-in and check out times?
- Campsites: Check-in 3PM & Check-out 1PM.
- Cabins: Check-in 3PM & Check-out 11AM.
- Rec Hall: Check-in 9AM & Check-out 10PM.
- Pavilion: Check-in 9AM & Check-out dusk.
